Announcing GWPA Postdoc Appreciation Day

The GWPA would like to announce our Postdoc Appreciation Day on September 19th! We welcome you to a celebration of the great work of GW postdocs and a chance to advance your career. We also issue a call for poster presentations.

For July, the GWPA is hosting an ice cream social on July 22nd.

Details for both these events are below:

1. ICE CREAM SOCIAL

JULY 22 | 1 PM | SEH B1167 (THE IVY WALL AREA)

In the midst of the summer heat, we can probably all get behind having some ice cream. So clear your schedules at 1 PM on the Monday the 22nd to have some ice cream with your fellow postdocs in the Ivy Wall area of the SEH basement. Please RSVP to gwpostdoc@gwu.edu so we can procure enough ice cream for everyone.

2. GWPA POSTDOC APPRECIATION DAY

SEPTEMBER 19 | 10:30 AM - 4 PM | SEH BASEMENT (B1167 -- THE IVY WALL AREA AND ADJACENT CLASSROOMS)

You are invited to celebrate the great work of George Washington University Postdocs and advance your career at the GW Postdoc Association (GWPA) Postdoc Appreciation Day. GWPA will host a career panel with speakers that can advise you on both industry and academic careers. This will be followed by a workshop that will teach you how to perfect a short “elevator pitch” about your research. You can practice using this elevator pitch as the day finishes up with a round of poster presentations by GW postdocs. Lunch will be provided as well as snacks during the poster presentations.

We welcome submissions for poster presentations! Please submit the title, authors, and abstract when registering here. Registration is required.

The first five postdocs to register will have their poster costs covered by the GWPA. We will contact those five individuals to work out the details.

Hey, could you please share an update on the agenda for the day, meaning when the events start and the timeline for the specific events to be taken place during the day? Thank you!
